Con il termine wheatpaste si intende un liquido adesivo realizzato con farina e acqua, più resistente se diluito con colla bianca quando è previsto il suo utilizzo su carta o materiali porosi. Usato fin dai tempi antichi in differenti arti e mestieri come la rilegatura di libri, il decoupage, il collage e per appendere volantini di annunci propagandistici su cartelloni pubblicitari, il Wheatpasting è una delle maggiori e più rapide tecniche della Street Art, utilizzata con il proposito di incollare disegni, stampati su carta, su muri o altre superfici. Questo sistema garantisce maggiore rapidità rispetto all’uso di vernici ed una relativa indipendenza dalla superficie di applicazione.

The term Wheatpasting suggests the act of sticking a poster on a wall with a liquid adhesive made from flour and water, know to be just as strong as diluted white glue when used on paper or pours materials. It has been used since ancient times for various arts and crafts such as book binding, decoupage, collage and for sticking propaganda advertisements on commercial billboards. Wheatpasting is one of the major and faster techniques of Street Art, used with the purpose of adhering artworks to walls and other surfaces.
